To maintain its popularity among stylish consumers, Chevrolet always collaborates with the best automotive designers.
Ugur Sahin Design was Chevrolet’s best choice to develop Corvette Z03 Concept. Ugur Sahin has very reliable experiences on designing exclusive cars including Ferrari, Bentley, Aston Martin and Rolls Royce. The Corvette Z03 Concept was planned to be produced only for 100 units, which was set to be first produced in 2008. It described how special this concept car would be.
To put the concept into reality, Ugur Sahin also collaborated with the best team which were Flybrid Systems (Winner of Professional World Motorsports Engine Innovation 2007), Modesi Design (technical studies and engineering), Fischer Motorsports (carbon fiber production and engine tuning) and Kirkham Motorsports(aluminum body and panel production). An automotive legend and former Corvette chief engineer, Dave McLellan, strengthened this team by consulting Úgur Sahin Design on the production management.
Basically the Z03 Concept was advanced concept of Z06. The modification was on the power plant, suspension and interior. The concept car still used the chassis of C6 (6th generation of Corvette). It had proven to be very excellent in public road and race circuit. As for performance, replacing the stock body panels with carbon fiber parts would reduce the weight for approximately 100 pounds. The vehicle would have three performance packages available ranging from 500 to 750 hp. The top package would be equipped with dual Tial/Garret oil lubricated and liquid cooled ceramic bearing turbochargers combined with a revolutionary Motec electronic engine management system. All aspects of the vehicles personalization, as on Z06, would be handpicked by the customer including custom mixed paint, upgraded interior treatments including gauges, dashboard, custom created RECARO seats and more.
The Chevrolet Corvette Z03 Concept will certainly show the customer’s personality. It will be one of a kind. The owner will be very proud to drive this future car.
